What data we collect

Location data
When you use Detour, your device's GPS location is used to generate running and cycling routes. This is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent to or stored on our servers.

Usage analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data about how the app is used — such as how many routes are generated and which features are most popular. This data does not identify you personally.

Shared routes
When you use the Share Route feature, route parameters (start coordinates, distance, and activity type) are encoded in a URL. No personal data is included in shared links.
